External Data

From Tools > Options > External Data, you can specify the following.

Files Import TypeSets how the External Data file is handled when importing External Data.

  • By Copy: Copies the External Data file into the project folder.

  • By Reference (default): Directly references the External Data file. For large size files, this drastically reduces disk storage requirements and improves performance.
