The Material Designer system launches Ansys Material Designer, allowing you perform material homogenization. You can simulate the micro-structure of composite materials and lattice structures as well as user-defined materials. Material Designer generates a representative volume element (RVE) and analyzes it in order to compute homogenized (averaged) material properties. The computed materials can then be used in subsequent analyses as any predefined or user-defined materials would be.
