Steps of a Coupled Analysis in Workbench

To create and run a coupled analysis, perform the following steps:

  1. Create the analysis on the Project Schematic.

    1. Add participant systems to the Project Schematic.

    2. Add the System Coupling system to the Project Schematic.

  2. Set up the physics for each participant system.

    1. Configure the participant settings that enable a coupled analysis.

    2. Set up each participating system (generally from top-to-bottom, until you have completed all the required steps for your analysis) and perform a test solve.

  3. Connect the systems.

  4. Set up the System Coupling system.

    1. Modify settings needed to complete the coupled analysis.

    2. Optionally, enable expert settings.

  5. Run the analysis.

    1. Start the solution.

    2. Monitor the solution progress.

  6. Optionally, stop and restart the analysis..

    1. Stop the analysis.

    2. Modify the analysis as needed.

    3. Restart the analysis.

  7. Review analysis output.

    1. Review System Coupling's output.

    2. Review the participant results.

Note:  The steps vary slightly for a coupled analysis being exported from Workbench.
