The PCA method requires that reaction sensitivity data be available in the targeted Ansys Chemkin project. If sensitivity analysis was not run in the reference project, then the PCA option will not show up in the Mechanism Reduction options list. Since sensitivity analysis can be time consuming, especially with a large full mechanism, PCA is generally not recommended as a skeletal method. However, for smaller starting mechanisms, it can be effective.
