For blow molding and thermoforming processes in shell models, there are times when self-contacts such as folds or knit-lines can occur in the blown part. In such cases, the self-contact postprocessor can simply detect self-contact of the parison. See Inputs for Self-Contact Detection for details on how to define such a postprocessor.
