Starting oSP3D

oSP3D is part of the optiSLang installation and is licensed when optiSLang is licensed. However, for an oSP3D standalone installation, an optiSLang Enterprise license is required.

The way that you start oSP3D depends on the operating system on which optiSLang is installed.

  • To start oSP3D on Windows from the Start menu, select ANSYS 2024 R2 > optiSLang 3D Post-Processing 2024 R2.

  • To start oSP3D on Linux, in a new terminal, run the script file sos.sh in the oSP3D installation directory. By default, this is C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v242\optiSLang\sos.
