Ansys ICEM CFD includes a wide range of tools for creating a new geometry or manipulating an existing geometry. You can create a simple geometry or alter a complex geometry without having to go back to the original CAD. This can be done for CAD (NURBS surfaces) and triangulated surface data.

ICEM CFD also supports several geometry interfaces that enable you to import geometry from other formats (CAD, 3rd party geometry, Faceted Data, and Mesh formats). These interfaces provide the bridge between parametric geometry creation tools available in CAD systems and the computational mesh generation and mesh optimization tools available in Ansys ICEM CFD. Currently supported interfaces include the most popular CAD systems and many legacy formats.
