Ansys Forte produces output in two primary formats: Spatially Resolved and Spatially Averaged. You can set options to control the amount and the frequency of output for each type of data. Table 3.8: Summary Data reported in Ansys Forte log, for engine simulations lists the summary data you can find in the log for engine simulations. Note that the engine summary data are calculated based on spatially averaged output parameters at the end of the calculation and therefore the data are reported at the end of the FORTE.log file. To get meaningful values for the engine summary data, the simulation should cover the whole in-cylinder (closed cycle) process. As an alternative to the engine summary data reported in FORTE.log, these data can also be calculated using the Engine Performance Utility (Engine Performance Utility) in a more customized and flexible way as a post-processing step.
