The Ansys Forte User Interface components are written in Java and make use of 3rd party Java OpenGL graphics libraries. If you are connecting to the Linux system from Windows using a remote terminal program, the User Interface requires that the terminal program support both X-windows and OpenGL. Basic telnet and putty connections typically do not support the graphics protocols that the User Interface requires.
