With beta features enabled (as described in Introduction), you can enable the axis-stabilization for axisymmetric flows. This feature is available for the 2D axisymmetric density-based solver and is designed to increase the accuracy and stability of the axis boundary condition (as described in Axis Boundary Conditions in the Fluent User's Guide). This feature is particularly useful for high-speed axisymmetric blunt-body calculations, where it can be combined with the high-speed numerics (as described in High Speed Numerics in the Fluent User's Guide). The axis-stabilization is enabled with the text command:
