For 3D serial processing, you have the ability to switch from the solution mode of Fluent to the meshing mode at any point, even when a mesh or case file is in memory. By enabling beta feature access (Introduction), the following text command will always be available in the console, and can be used as described in the chapter on switching between meshing and solution modes in the Fluent Getting Started Guide:
