Ansys CFD-Post is a post processing application that helps you visualize the results of your Ansys FENSAP-ICE CFD simulations. For FENSAP-ICE based analysis systems, the Results cell provides access to the Ansys CFD-Post application by connecting it to a Results component system. Similarly, the Results – FENSAP-ICE component system provides the access to the Ansys CFD-Post application by connecting it to a Results component system. The Toolbox contains a separate Results component system (that is, Ansys CFD-Post) that you can add to the Project Schematic and connect to FENSAP-ICE.

You can view the results of your FENSAP-ICE calculation in Ansys CFD-Post by double-clicking the Results cell of the Results component system connected to the FENSAP-ICE analysis system or the Results – FENSAP-ICE component system. This will load the FENSAP-ICE results into Ansys CFD-Post.
Important: In addition to analyzing your results in Ansys CFD-Post, you can also view the results of your simulation using the standard Viewmerical post processing tools. For more information, see Post-Processing.
When exporting FENSAP-ICE files for Ansys CFD-Post, the grid and solution files are converted to *.cgns results files. When you edit a Results cell that is connected to the Results cell in a FENSAP-ICE analysis system or a Results – FENSAP-ICE component system, Ansys CFD-Post always loads the standard *.cgns results files.
Important: Only one CGNS file can be postprocessed at a time; multiple simultaneous CGNS files are not supported inside Ansys CFD-Post. To do data set comparisons between two or more result files use Viewmerical instead.
