This section lists limitations that are known to exist in Ansys FENSAP-ICE. Where possible, suggested workarounds are provided.
Remeshing Scripts and Fluent Meshing Script Cross-Platform Compatibility
In ICE3D, the remeshing scripts set-up for the grid displacement mode Remeshing - Fluent Meshing are not portable across platforms. The custom_remeshing.sh file must be converted to the suitable platform text file format. Alternatively, the remeshing template files can simply be reloaded using the Template - Reload template located in the ICE3D grid displacement menu.
If the FENSAP-ICE graphical user interface is closed before a queued job is executed, a license to launch this job might no longer be available as the license sharing context is not active. A workaround is to either add
unset ANSYS_LICENSING_CONTEXT_DATA
to the queuing system header commands, or to set the environment variable NTI_NO_LICENSE_SHARING=1 before starting FENSAP-ICE, to reserve a license.
