Saving and Restoring Initialization Settings

Setting up the initialization parameters can be a lengthy operation, especially if there are multiple components and a complex geometry. If you plan on analyzing the dataset multiple times, it might be convenient to store the initialization settings so they can be reused in a different EnSight session. This can be achieved using Save configuration... and Restore configuration... in the initialization interface.

Once all the settings have been selected, click Save configuration.... A Save current initialization dialog will open and prompt you for a file location and name. EnSight will save all current settings in a .trb file written in XML format.

To restore these settings in a current or new EnSight session, head to the Turbomachinery initialization dialog and click Restore configuration.... Select the .trb file and the settings will be applied to the initialization.

Note:  A .trb file contains the information on the turbomachinery settings by assigning a turbomachinery component and type to a part name. When restoring a .trb file, if a part with the same name cannot be found, that setting is simply skipped. This will result in a partial initialization that you will need to manually correct.
