Displacement

A displacement constraint specifies that a portion of the model displaces relative to its original location. Displacement is defined in terms of translation, the difference between the initial and final positions along the straight line of a specified axis; and/or rotation, the distance rotated around a circle based on the specified axis. You can also apply displacement from a remote point.

Note: Stiffness behavior for remote displacements is handled differently in Explore and Refine modes. In the Explore stage, Discovery uses a rigid behavior. However, Discovery uses a flexible behavior in the Refine stage.
