SID Applied Physics

The Simulation Information Display (SID) provides you with a summary of the applied physics in your simulation. At a glance, you can see the type of physics used and whether multi-physics conditions are applied. Here are some of the different physics conditions represented in the SID. Look at the physics tree to see details of the conditions that are used in this simulation.

This is a structural simulation. This is a fluid flow simulation.
This is a structural simulation including effects of any temperature changes in the structural computation. These effects are induced by a change from the assembled temperature to a constant operating temperature. This is a thermal fluid flow simulation. A temperature distribution is applied.
This is a structural simulation with solid thermal conditions. The temperature distribution in solid bodies is computed along with the structural results. This is a fluid flow simulation with solid thermal conditions applied to a face or body.
This is a solid thermal simulation. A temperature distribution is computed in solid bodies due to the applied thermal conditions and the subsequent flow of heat. This is a compressible flow simulation. The ideal gas law with variable density is used for all gaseous materials.
This is an electromagnetics simulation.
