Setting Permissions on a Queue

Initially, only the person who has added a queue has permission to use and modify it. To allow other users and groups to use or modify the queue, you must set permissions on it.

To set permissions on a queue:

  1. In the navigation panel, under Configurations, select Cluster.

  2. Open the cluster configuration containing the queue whose permissions you want to define. Click the cluster name, or in the Actions cell of the cluster configuration, click ... and select Open.

  3. On the cluster details page, open the queue whose permissions you want to define Click the queue name, or in the Actions cell of the queue, click ... and select Open.

  4. On the queue details page, select the Permissions tab.

  5. Click Edit Permissions.

  6. Set permissions as desired for a user or group:

    • Use. The user or group can use the queue for job submission.

    • Modify. The user or group can edit queue details and permissions.

  7. Click Save.

Note:  If you do not have 'Full control queue configuration' permission, any edits that you make to permissions require approval by a user with that permission (for example, a member of the System Administrators group). When you make a permission change, the Publish Status property for affected users and groups is initially Pending. When changes are saved, a validation request appears on the Validation Requests page that administrators access. Once an administrator approves the request, the updated permissions are applied.
