32.1. Interpolation (Data Input) User Functions

A user function with the option Interpolation (Data Input) is defined by a set of coordinates and variable values at those coordinates.

Example uses:

  • Specify an inlet temperature profile using some experimentally-measured values of temperature at various points on the inlet.

  • Specify some property of a material as a function of temperature using a table of known values.

If you have data in a profile data file, then instead of creating a user function directly, you can import the profile data as described in Profile Boundary Conditions in the CFX-Solver Modeling Guide. More details can be found in Interpolation (From File) User Functions (Profile Functions).
