Colormap

A colormap is a 3-dimensional graphic that represents the time-frequency composition of a signal.

  • Time (in seconds) is the first dimension.
  • Frequency (in Hz) is the second dimension.
  • The color scale for levels (usually in dB) is the third dimension.
