Pairwise Comparison

Pairwise Comparison allows relative comparison of each possible pair of sounds.

In the Pairwise Comparison method, the sounds are presented to each listener in a series of pairs. The listener is asked to choose the sound they prefer (or rate how much they prefer it, depending on the defined response mode).

Note: Sounds are presented in a random sequence of pairs and all possible pairings of sounds in the database are presented. If there are many sounds, this will therefore result a very long test.

Listening test

Each listener has to:

  1. Listen to the pair of presented sounds.

  2. Choose or rate their preference using the available options or slider.

  3. Validate the rating.
