Audio Output Modes

In Ansys Sound: ASDforEV there are two audio output modes: Stereo and Multichannel.

The audio output mode is switchable from the Settings tab using the Stereo and Multichannel buttons as well as from the Audio output configuration dialog (accessed using the Speaker setup button).

The Stereo mode allows you to use the 2 pre-configured audio output channels. This mode is the default mode on Ansys Sound: ASDforEV.

The Multichannel mode allows you to configure 2 to 12 audio output channels of different types.

Here are the 3 types of audio output channels:
  • Multimedia for channels corresponding to speakers dedicated to the car’s multimedia system,
  • Subwoofer for the low frequency content of the sounds to be played in the multimedia system.
  • System for specific speakers not included in the multimedia system (for example AVAS),
You can also set the position of the speakers and, if needed, correct the speakers' frequency response thanks to the equalizers.
