Virtual Photometric Lab

You can set and save display settings that are used every time a new file is generated from a simulation. The settings will be applied to the result only after a simulation update.

Note: All XMP results take these options by default.
  • By selecting the Show rulers check box, you can display rulers.

    You can click Ruler parameters....

  • By selecting the Show primary graduations or Show secondary graduations check box, you can display primary or secondary graduations.

    You can click Graduations parameters....

  • By selecting the Show primary grid or Show secondary grid check box, you can display primary or secondary grid.

    You can click Grid parameters....

Important: The step value of the secondary grid cannot be smaller than the sample size of the XMP map.
  • By selecting the Show axis on cross check box, you can display axis on cross.
  • By selecting the Snap cross to grid check box, you can snap cross to grid.
  • By selecting the Show tooltip check box, you can display tooltip.

Note: When opening a *.lpf, in the XMP the first measure area from the Measures tool is displayed on the first opening. The selected measure area (in the Measure tool) upon save is displayed on the next openings. If you activate Show tooltip, two tooltips will be displayed:
    • One tooltip corresponds to the coordinates information and the value (depending on the map's unit) of the pointed pixel on the map.
    • One tooltip corresponds to the measure value selected in the Measure tool for the displayed area.

When opening a XMP (out of the Light Expert context), if you activate Show tooltip, the tooltip will display the coordinates information and the luminance of the pointed pixel on the map.

  • By selecting the Color around the map check box, you can display any color you want around the map.
  • By selecting the Fill shape check box, you can fill shape.
  • Select Show flux to display the flux of the map in the bottom info bar.

Note: Flux measurement is not possible on irradiance and 3D irradiance maps that used an Integration type different from Planar (and also an Integration direction that is not perpendicular to the sensor plane).
  • Select Show minimum to display the minimum of the map and its position.
  • Select Show maximum to display the maximum of the map and its position.

Maximum value is hidden by default.
