Using the 3D View Tool
With 3D view tool, you can manipulate models.
Select surfaces of the object with the Selection mode. |
|
Change the camera position and orientation with the Viewing mode. To change the orientation, you must click the image and move the mouse. To change the position, you must keep pressing the button. You must rotate the mouse wheel to zoom or to move the object through the axis system. |
|
Open the Speos Labs documentation. |
|
Regenerate the saved view. |
|
Save the camera position. |
|
Visualize the entire object without changing the camera orientation. |
|
Zoom on a precise part of the object. Click it and click a point on the geometry to define the center of rotation. This center is what the camera is aiming at. |
|
Change the Orthogonal/Perspective projection mode. |
|
Launch the Camera Editor. |
Using the Mouse

Click to launch the Camera Editor.
Rotation Center
In Rotation center group box, you must type the X, Y and Z values of the rotation center.
Camera Orientation
In Camera orientation group box, you must type the X value to set the camera orientation and the Psi value to set the tilt of the camera and rotate the camera around the aiming point.
Representation
In Representation group box, you must select Spherical coordinate or Observer point.
With Spherical coordinate, you can set the Spherical coordinate setup from the rotation center with Theta, Phi and Radius values.
With Observer point, you can set the Observer point coordinates belong to the axis system.
Spherical Coordinate
Type the Theta value to set the angle between the line of sight and the Z axis
For example: Theta = 0 makes you look down vertically at the rotation center. Theta = 90 makes you look horizontally at the rotation center. Theta = 180 makes you look up vertically at the rotation center.
Type the Phi angle value to make the camera rotate around the Z axis
For example, when Theta = 9: Phi = 0 makes you look towards –X. Phi = 90 makes you look towards -Y. Phi = 180 makes you look towards X. Phi = 270 makes you look towards Y.
Type the Radius value to set the distance between the observer and the rotation center.
