Surfaces Overview

You must create a geometry before applying optical properties.

Note: Surfaces describe light's behavior when hitting the surface.
Note: When the light hits the surface, three occurrences may happen: Light is absorbed, reflected or transmitted.

With the surface editor you can parametrize these behaviors with regards to the wavelength and the polarization.

You can then create your own coated surface filling in a table with your absorption and transmission coefficients for each wavelength, and polarization.
