Setting the JVC HDR Projector

  1. Disable all ICC profiles set on your computer.

  2. Connect the JVC projector to the computer with a HDMI cable or a HDMI-DisplayPort Adapter.

  3. Switch on the JVC projector.

  4. Only display the computer desktop on the JVC projector.

  5. On the JVC projector remote control, press [INPUT] to select the image to project.

  6. To display 16-bit images, in the NVIDIA Control Panel set:

    • the screen resolution to 3840 x 1080;

    • Desktop color depth to Highest (32-bit);

    • Output color depth to 8 bpc;

    • Output color format to RGB;

    • Output dynamic range to Full;

      Warning: Output dynamic range changes automatically according to the type of cable used.
  7. For a better image quality displayed by the Lab, on the JVC projector remote control, press [PICTURE MODE] and select OP3.

    The OP3 picture mode must be installed by JVC. If you do not have the OP3 picture mode, contact the JVC support.

  8. To adjust the contrast, on the JVC remote control:

    1. Press [MENU].

    2. Select Picture Adjust.

    3. Select the Picture Mode to adjust.

    4. Adjust the Lens Aperture.

  9. To correct the unequal light distribution:

    1. Press [Menu].

    2. Select Installation.

    3. Select Uniformity Correction and set it to On.

    4. Select Gain Adjustment and Viewing Position to adjust the extent of uniformity correction and the viewing position respectively.

Now you can correctly use Virtual Photometric Lab with a JVC HDR projector.
