Files and Data

The folder contains five measurement sets and an excel file. DisplayCharacterizationProcess

• The Excel file (CharacterizationProcess.xlsx) contains various sheets and tabs. This file will assist you throughout the entire characterization process. You shall store all data collected during measurements in this file. You will interact with one tab of the excel file (the DATA tab). The other tabs will be computed thanks to the information input in the DATA tab.

  • The Type of Display tab summarizes the characteristics of the display (brand, technology, size, resolution etc). Input the display settings for which the characterization is made: brightness, contrast, gamma, etc.

  • The DATA tab is where you input the data.

    This is the only tab that can be modified, all the others are in reading mode only.

  • The Luminance,LuminanceHomogeneity, ColorHomogeneity, GammaMatching, ColorMatching and Luminance Matching tabs are in reading mode only and give the full measurement results.

  • The Summary tab gives a global report of the measurements, a rating of those characteristics readable on graphics and a rating of the display for the main use cases.

• The measurement set comprises 5 different data sets that are needed to characterize the display. See Data Sets Description to have more information about each data set and their role in the characterization process.
