Applying a Visualization Color to a Material

The following procedure helps you apply a visualization color to a material in order to quickly find the material in the 3D view. Thus, when you use the locate material tool, the geometries on which the material is applied are hightlighted in 3D view with the chosen color.

To apply a visualization color to a material:

1. Open a material.
2. In the Material definition, click Optional or advanced settings .
   
   
3. Click to open the Color tool.
   Tip: You can directly right-click a material and click Set visualization color to open the Color tool, or you can right-click a geometry when the Locate Material tool is activated and click Material visualization color.
   
   
4. Define the color to apply.

The visualization color is applied to the material and the material will be highlighted with this color in the 3D view.
