Volume Physics
The object bulk scattering method, wavelength shift, and phosphors/fluorescence settings are defined in the "Volume Physics" section of the Object Properties window. The Object Properties can be reached by clicking the down arrow in the Object Properties bar above the NSC Editor. To set whether a ray from a given source can bulk scatter once or multiple times, see the "Sources" section of the Object Properties.
The following screenshot was taken with the OpticStudio non-sequential scattering sample file "Bulk Scatter.ZMX":

Bulk (volumetric) scattering models random scattering of rays while propagating through a solid object. OpticStudio supports 4 modes for the bulk scattering of a solid object: No Bulk Scattering, Angle Scattering, DLL Defined Scattering, and Phosphors and Fluorescence.
None
This means that no bulk scattering is selected, and rays will propagate through the solid without scattering.
