Identifying material tables

MI Materials Gateway supports browsing and searching of material records in any database table that is identified as containing materials.

The rules for identifying a Material table are customizable and are found in the configuration file tablefilters.config, located in the mi_servicelayer folder on the Granta MI server. (See Editing configuration files.) In this file, the TableFilterConfig tableType attribute is used to define the table types that will be identified by MI Materials Gateway as Material tables.

For each table in your database that contains material records, use MI Admin to ensure that the table’s Table type setting in the database schema matches one of the tableType attribute values in the tablefilters.config file.
