Configuring Granta MI databases

Granta MI databases supplied by Ansys do not generally require configuration to work with MI Materials Gateway. However, you may need to add units or unit systems that are used by your host application, or configure some features of the database (such as standard names) to support optional Gateway features.

If you have a Granta MI database that was not supplied by Ansys (for instance, a database containing in-house or proprietary data), you should review this section, and carry out any steps required before using MI Materials Gateway with that database for the first time.
