Specifying parameter values for a material model

If you are importing or assigning a parameter-dependent material model, specify any values needed for the parameters.

If parameter values are required, you will see Parameters Required For Exporter when you import or assign the material model.

The values you can specify for each parameter depend on the data that is available for your selected materials.

If a parameter (such as Temperature) is required by more than one attribute within the material model, the value you specify will be used for all of those attributes.

Optionally, you can choose to use:
Default
This is set at database level when a parameter is defined by your Granta MI data administrator.
Tip: To use default parameter values wherever possible, go to Settings > Preferences and select Use default parameter values for material model import.
Recommended
These are optimized to give the minimum number of missing data values, for all the materials you have selected.
To specify parameter values:
  1. Specify a value for each parameter by selecting it from the list, or entering it directly.
  2. Click Show data summary to see, for each record and for each attribute, whether or not any data will be exported at the given parameter values.

You can import the same material / model type combination again using different parameter values, if required.

If your Granta MI database is version-controlled, then when you update a parameter-dependent material model, the previous parameter values will be used again wherever possible.
