Reverting a record, folder, or Table

Records, folders, and Tables that are Unreleased may be reverted.

When you revert an Unreleased version:

  • It reverts to the previous Released version, if one exists. The Unreleased version is then deleted reverts to ththe Unreleased version is deleted.
  • If no Released version exists, the Unreleased version is simply removed from the database (so this is similar to 'delete' in Tables that are not version-controlled).
  1. Locate the Unreleased record, folder, or Table in the Contents tree and and click Edit on the item menu button.
  2. In the Version Control panel, click Revert this record.
  3. If the selected item contains other folders and/or records (that is, it has descendant records), you can choose whether to revert all of its descendant records as well.
    • Revert this record and all descendants - choose this option to revert the selected item and all records and folders it contains.
    • Revert this record only - (default option) choose this option to revert only the selected item; the version state of the records/folder in it will not be changed.
  4. (Optional) Type some notes about the change you are making in the box provided. The notes will apply to all folders and records being changed.
  5. Click OK.
