Follow these steps to add the second node to your Granta MI cluster.
-
Install Granta MI on the new node following the same workflow documented in
Installing and configuring Granta MI.
Note: Do not install MI Data Flow. This should only be installed on one node in
the cluster.
-
In the Settings application, add the new node to the list of allowed One MI
hostnames for the cluster:
-
Open the One MI web application, then open Settings.
-
Click to open the One MI settings page.
-
Edit the One MI application server alternative machine
names field (
Allowed.OneMi.HostNames). For
example, to add a node called mynode2 to the
comma-separated list, you would include the hostname and FQDN as
follows:
mynode2,mynode2.example.com
-
To join the new node to the cluster, follow the steps in Enabling Cluster Mode, entering the cluster key you generated on
the first node into the Cluster Key field on the Cluster
tab of the MI Server Connection tool.
-
Add the new node to your load balancer.
If you intend to use the Granta MI Log Aggregation feature, install MI Log
Collector on the new node, see Installing and configuring MI Log File Collector (Filebeat)
