Editing the index gradient or objective

Change the gradient or objective of a selection line to adjust the selection properties or update the display.

To edit the index gradient or objective:

  1. Right-click the line, and click Properties.
  2. To change the gradient of the line, enter the new Slope value, or click Vertical for a vertical index line.
  3. To change what the line does on the chart:
    • Select Maximize the index to select only those materials that optimally maximize performance: materials above/on the right of the line are selected.
    • Select Minimize the index to select only those materials that minimize the index: materials below/to the left of the line are selected.
    • To make the line for display only (no selection), select Show line for display only.
  4. You can click Apply to see the result in the chart.
  5. Click OK to save your changes and close the Line Properties dialog.
