Sharing data with other systems

When the Engineering Data component is shared with a downstream system in Ansys Workbench, its materials become available for assignment - for example, to parts in a geometry.

The Engineering Data component can be shared with a downstream system in two ways:

• Sharing Engineering Data components between systems.

  

  Warning: this deletes and overwrites all pre-existing materials in the downstream system’s Engineering Data component.

• Direct transfer of the Engineering Data component to another system.
