Favorites in Gateway

In MI Materials Gateway you can add materials and other records to your personal Favorites Lists, and subscribe to lists published by other users. Favorites Lists typically contain records that are used frequently, are in a particular project, or have specific properties.

When you open MI Materials Gateway, the Favorites menu includes any personal Favorites Lists that you have created, and any published lists that you are subscribed to.

The personal Favorites List that you have viewed most recently is shown by the icon . This is your active list - when you add a record to your Favorites in MI Materials Gateway, it will be added to this list by default.

If you don't have any personal Favorites Lists, MI Materials Gateway will automatically create a new personal list for you, called My Favorites.

Note: Favorites Lists are not affected by the profile that is selected in MI Materials Gateway.

You can create personal lists in MI Explore or MI Favorites, and you can find additional list management features in MI Favorites. For more information, see MI Favorites.

To see the Favorites Lists that are available to you, click the navigation bar and select Favorites.
To view the contents of a list, select the list from the Favorites menu.
To update the contents of lists, click Refresh. This is useful for subscribed lists.
To view all published lists and manage your subscriptions, click Subscribe to lists.
To manage your personal lists or create a new list, click Manage lists. This will open MI Favorites.
To add an item to your active Favorites List, right-click the item and select Add to <Name of list>

Tip: You can remove items from a Favorites List by right-clicking the item, and selecting Remove from <Name of list>.
