Viewing a dashboard

When viewing an assembly or product structure in MI Materials Gateway for Creo, NX, Teamcenter, or Windchill, you can use a dashboard to analyze your assignments.

Note:
  • In Creo, analysis and reporting features are only available when you are viewing a hierarchical BoM - that is, when you have opened MI Materials Gateway from the main toolbar in Creo Parametric. See Creo Parametric.
  • In NX, analysis and reporting features are only available when you are working in BoM mode. See NX.
  • In Teamcenter and Windchill, you can also analyze the results of a 'Where Used' search.
  1. To view a dashboard for your current BoM and its assignments, click View dashboards in the top right corner of the Assignments panel,
    Dashboards are displayed in the lower half of the MI Materials Gateway window, in the same place as the Assignments panel.
  2. To run the analysis, click Update the dashboard at the bottom right of the Gateway window.
    Tip: You also need to click Update the dashboard to rerun the analysis if you edit assignments, or change the active assembly.
  3. Select the view of your analysis:
    OptionDescription
    Summary A visual overview of the analysis results, and a comparison with the baseline (if one has been set).
    Details A detailed breakdown of the results by component.
    Information Messages that relate to your analysis - for instance, suggestions on how the analysis could be improved.
