Data updates for MI Pro Materials Data

Each Granta MI Pro release includes a Data Update that allows you to add all of the updates in the latest version of the MI Pro Materials Data database to your existing database, while preserving any in-house data you may have added.

Data Updates for MI Pro Materials Data are incremental, and contain only changes from the previous database release to the newest release. Therefore, if you are upgrading your Granta MI Pro system across more than one release version, all interim Data Updates must be applied, in order.

• If you are upgrading Granta MI Pro using the automated upgrade method, all the available data updates for MI Pro Materials Data will be applied automatically.
• If you are upgrading Granta MI Pro using the interactive method, you must apply all of the available interim MI Pro Data Updates manually, in order.

Note that data updates are provided for the MI Pro Materials Data database only. For Ansys reference databases included in Granta MI Pro:

• If the database included in the new release contains data updates, you can simply replace the existing version with the latest version when you upgrade.
• If the database included in the new release does not include any data updates, you can continue to use the existing database after upgrading the database schema.
