Assign Network Properties

To assign a network boundary condition and define its properties:

  1. Press F to enable face-selection mode.
  2. Select and right-click one or more faces in the 3D Modeler window.
  3. From the right-click menu, select Assign Thermal>Network.
    Note:

    Face nodes are created for each face you select. When you select one or two faces, an internal node is automatically created. When selecting three or more faces, no internal nodes are automatically created.

  4. In the Network Thermal Model dialog box, enter a Name for the network.
  5. Use the network schematic editor to create the network structure. See The Network Thermal Model Dialog for more information.
  6. When you are finished creating and defining network nodes and links, click OK.
