SIwave Simulations
You can define SIwave simulation options and compute the following simulations in SIwave:
- Resonant Modes
- Frequency Sweep
- Near Field Simulation
- Far Field Simulation
- DC IR-Drop Simulation
- EM MTTF Simulation
- Induced Voltage
- Crosstalk Scan, Frequency Domain
- Crosstalk Scan, Time Domain
- Icepak Simulation
- S-, Y-, Z- parameter Sweep
After you have computed the S-,Y-, Z- parameters, you can compute:
PDN Channel Builder and PI Advisor simulations can use either the SIwave solver or the PSI solver:

Note:
SIwave simulations will automatically detect the CPU type (i.e., AMD or Intel) and determine whether to use AMD Math Library (i.e., AMDL) or Intel Math Kernel Library (i.e., Intel MKL) algorithms. Each library contains a collection of optimized mathematical routines for scientific computing, including functions for linear algebra, Fast Fourier Transforms (i.e., FFTs), and vector math, designed for a particular processor type. |
