Remapping a Package Netlist
SIwave can map a previously extracted package netlist into the footprint of a new chip.
For instructions on exporting a PLOC file, see: Exporting CPA RLGC Results.
Requirements:
- The model has been extracted using an old PLOC file and needs to be remapped into a new PLOC file.
- There is a preexisting adsCPA folder. The new PLOC will be mapped to and update the annotated and ASCII PLOC files in this folder.
- The number of nets in the new PLOC matches that of adsCPA.
- The preexisting package has been extracted using an M x N grid, with Channel setup
Remapping Commands:
Remapping is performed from the command line, using speng.exe:
speng.exe <path_to_adsCPA_folder\adsCPA\> <path_to_config_file\ploc_remap_config.txt> <path_to_new_ploc_file\newplocfile.ploc> -reassign_ploc_gridbased
The command window will track remapping progress.
The adsCPA folder is expected to contain a file named cpa_annotated.ploc. Once remapping has finished, cpa_annotated.ploc will be overwritten. A copy of the original file will be available as cpa_annotated_old.ploc.
