Defining Capacitor Mount Dimensions

You can review the mounting dimensions for capacitors by Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) size. The Capacitor Mount Dimensions window allows you to import and export capacitor mount dimensions as a file (*.mdf). Mounting data can be used by the Capacitor Library Browser and the PI Advisor.

To specify capacitor mount dimensions:

  1. Click Advanced > Capacitor Dimension.

    2. The Capacitor Mount Dimensions window appears.

  2. Use the Import... button to select an .mdf file for import.
  3. To manually define dimensions, click a cell and type the new value.
  4. Click OK to apply changes.
  5. If you want to save your settings, click Export... to create an.mdf file.
