This update provides new functionality, feature enhancements, and bug fixes.
What's New
-
In the Ansys Gateway powered by AWS setup wizard, you are now required to enter your Ansys Customer ID when specifying your company information.
A new Allow users to see beta applications setting enables administrators to control whether users have the ability to access Beta application packages when adding applications to virtual desktops. This setting is disabled by default. See Allowing or Preventing Access to Beta Applications in the Administration Guide.
A new Allow users to automatically map local disk drives setting enables administrators to control whether or not users' local drives are mapped to virtual machines when they launch virtual desktop sessions. This setting is disabled by default. See Allowing or Forbidding Local Drive Mapping on Virtual Machines in the Administration Guide.
-
The Reporting page no longer displays resources with a cost of $0.00, resulting in a cleaner, more concise cost and usage report.
-
Minor styling changes have been made to the Ansys Gateway powered by AWS interface for an improved user experience.
The Launch RDP using all displays option has been renamed Multiple screen support, and has been moved from the main toolbar to the User settings page. Also, this option is now applicable when .rdp files are used to connect to virtual machines. See Using Multiple Monitors in the Getting Started guide.
-
Linux NFS shares are now mounted on Windows virtual machines automatically. You no longer need to install the NFS-Client application and manually map the shares.
-
Linux shares added through the Administration page are now mounted on Linux virtual machines.
Resolved Issues
-
The Stop HPC cluster when no applications have been in use for timer has been removed from HPC clusters, as it did not work.
-
When cluster creation fails, the correct status of 'Failed' is now displayed in the resource's Status field.
-
When adding applications to an existing virtual desktop, issues with the installation hanging and Connect/Stop buttons not being displayed have been resolved.
-
When connecting to a virtual desktop, an issue that occasionally caused the download of the connection file to fail has been resolved.
-
The Manage user access feature has been removed from shared folders created on file storage servers. This feature's functionality was not implemented and is not required, as all users in a project space have automatic access to shared folders that have been added or assigned to the project space.
-
When a shared folder is deleted from a file storage server, its display no longer lingers temporarily in the Storage view of the project space settings.
-
Windows shared folders no longer try to mount on Linux virtual machines, as this did not work.
