OS Images
An OS image is a file that contains an operating system (OS), application executables, and any data files required by the applications. You select an image when creating a virtual desktop.
Ansys provides Windows and Linux OS images in the Ansys Gateway powered by AWS configuration.
You can convert an existing virtual desktop to an OS image that can be applied when new virtual desktops are created, saving time and effort.
Images are also created by Ansys Gateway powered by AWS when HPC clusters are created in 24R1 project spaces. These images are used when new HPC clusters are created in the same project space, reducing cluster creation time.
Images are stored in an image repository and can be deleted when no longer needed.
