Operating System Support
When creating a virtual desktop or HPC cluster, you select an operating system (OS) image on the Select operating system screen of the wizard. For example:

The list contains the OS images that are available to the current project space. These may differ depending which Ansys releases are supported in the project space.
When creating an autoscaling cluster, Rocky Linux 8.10 by CIQ is used by default.

In project spaces that support 2024 R1 and earlier releases, other custom OS images may be available for Linux if any Linux virtual desktops have been converted to OS images. Such images may include applications.
