Locations

A location in Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure represents a regional Azure datacenter location.

When creating project spaces and resources such as virtual desktops, creators must choose the location that will provision requested hardware. The locations available for selection in wizards are determined by the locations available in the Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure configuration.

When Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure is first set up, a Virtual Network (vNet) and subnet are created in one chosen Azure region, enabling Azure virtual machines to be deployed in that region.

To be able to deploy virtual machines in other datacenter locations, you must add locations to the Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure configuration.
