Azure Files NFS Storage

NFS file shares are used as storage for Linux-based applications.

In Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure, Azure Files NFS storage can be created when defining an autoscaling cluster. This storage type is recommended for the installation of Autoscaling Cluster packages.

When Azure Files NFS storage is created for a cluster, the storage is mounted on all Linux virtual desktops in the project space, enabling file sharing across all Linux resources in the project space.

Note: NFS Azure files shares cannot be mounted on Windows virtual desktops.

For enhanced privacy and security, Azure's encryption in transit feature is used to encrypt data being transmitted between virtual machines and Azure Files NFS storages, protecting data from interception, tampering, or unauthorized access during transmission.

To learn more about Azure Files NFS storage, see NFS file shares in Azure Files in the Microsoft Azure documentation.
