Ansys medini analyze provides access to basic safety planning and controlling capabilities.
From the medini analyze user interface, you can easily create, define, and organize the resources, timeline, activities, and work products of a medini analyze project.
The first level of safety planning consists of defining who is going to contribute to the project activities. You do this by identifying users and groups of users in the project team, by assigning groups and users to specific roles, and by managing assignments over time. Roles can be used during safety planning to plan activities in more detail.
The second level of safety planning consists of setting the project timeline. You do this by setting the project start and end dates and defining a number of milestones. You can set a milestone as an absolute milestone using fixed dates, or as a relative milestone based on time intervals in relation to another milestone in the timeline. Milestones can be used during safety planning as anchors for safety activities.
In the last level of safety planning, you identify the activities and work products of the safety plan. You can break down the plan into activities and clusters of activities, then define work products in relation to activities that produce or impact them. You can also link activities to performers (roles, users, or groups), and set a dedicated milestone to activities used to compute a target date. Safety managers can also specify schedule dates or their own definition of done, and link documents to work products.
Safety managers often need to control multiple safety plans all at the same time. For the global management of safety plans, Ansys offers the Digital Safety Manager (DSM). The DSM is separate web-based application that enables safety managers to easily plan and oversee projects in a multi-user collaborative environment.
The DSM covers safety planning in compliance with known standards and norms, such as ISO 26262. You can set up and then monitor and control your safety projects without the need for spreadsheets. The interface makes it easy to manage and control all safety activities and work products on the way to producing the final safety case.
