2.2. Installing and Updating medini analyze

Installing or updating Ansys medini analyze is simple and straightforward. For update installations, you do not first have to manually remove a former version of medini analyze. The removal is part of the installation process and includes user confirmation.

Different versions of the tool can be installed at the same time, as long as they differ in their major version. For example, both version 2024 R1 and version 2024 R2 can be installed and used side-by-side, while 2023 R1.1 is treated as an update installation to 2023 R1.

When installing, follow the instructions. In most cases, the default settings can be used without modification. You can change the installation folder for the program during setup.

Note:  You can access detailed instructions by clicking the Installation Help button in the lower-right corner of the installer.
