When you add a cluster configuration to the Autoscaling Service configuration file (scaling_config.json), a default configuration for that cluster type is added to the “compute_resource_sets” section of the configuration file. For example:

The configuration contains a set of properties with default values that reflect the typical way that a cluster of this type would be set up. It includes a backend plugin named “orchestration_interfaces” (or "kubernetes" in the case of a Kubernetes cluster) which controls the way autoscaling works for this cluster type.
These same properties are displayed in a more user-friendly way in the Ansys HPC Job Manager web app when the Autoscaling Service is deployed:

You can edit autoscaling cluster properties by editing the scaling_config.json file or using the Ansys HPC Job Manager web app (recommended).
